Meet our handsome Buddy
Buddy is just full of personality and sweetness. He is very smart and learning good leash and house manners right now. House Trained. Buddy is gaining his confidence and is now concentrating on chasing the wildlife and birds. He mastered ball retrieving and frisbee tossing. Toys Buddy loves them all and he doesn't destroy them. He prefers hard things to chew like Nyla bones and deer antlers and settles well inside doing this after outside exercise.
The ideal home
Buddy needs an active home with a daily regular routine of exercise. A physical fenced in safe yard only. A home with older children 8 and up would be best. The ideal home would be with a similar breed and sized do male or female. A canine buddy that Buddy can learn good manners from would be best. He has had exposure to both swimming pools and ponds but Buddy doesn't really like to swim unless he wants to cool down on the sun shelves. He loves baby pools to lay in after exercise. He loves car rides and going places and being with his people. Buddy arrived fearful of crate time. Now, when we say "Go Crate" he knows good things will be there for him like food and enrichment activities. He sleeps in a wire crate quietly through the night next to his foster parent's bed. We are wanting a home that will continue the importance of crate training. A home with little alone time or when left alone it is done in short doses. He does fine being in an 8 x 10 kennel under air for boarding with other nice dogs near him. Buddy is Mr Social!
Past History
Buddy's owners bought him at 8 weeks and loved him dearly, but his energy was too much for them and their physical abilities. We were happy to help this couple when we were asked. Buddy has such amazing potential to be a great loving family dog.
