A confident pack leader needed to help Sugar

Sugar needs to learn manners with other dogs, she is fearful and takes time to warm up to strange dogs. She does better meeting dogs off leash. She is all about making her humans happy and being a part of their lives.

Sugar has good house manners and sleeps on a dog bed through the night. She would rather sleep with her humans if allowed. She takes Proin daily for incontinence, which is totally under control.

A home without small children under 7 is required, Sugar does not trust quick movements so please do not apply if you have toddlers living in the home or visiting regularly.

Room to Run, Play, Swim and retrieve
Sugar loves the outdoors. A home with a secure, physical fence with lots of room to run. She needs an active person and someone who will play fetch with her but not someone who wants to do dog parks and socialize her at restaurants. She doesn't want any of that. Very Large dog parks could work during off peak times. She lives to retrieve on land in in the water.

Her own swimming pool would be a plus! She's so fabulous in so many ways!

History

Sugar was bought for hunting but her owners didn't have time for her so rehomed her to a young family with boys who were 7 & 9. She also shared her home with a Female Lab and a cat.

The family's living situation changed and long work hours meant Sugar again was in a home that had no time for her. She spent long periods of time alone waiting for her owners to come home, so they reached out to FBR for help.
