Bandit's Ready to Steal Your Heart
We just welcomed Bandit here at FBR. He is really enjoying the securely fenced and multi-acreage property at Florida Brittany Rescue, where he can exercise, hunt, swim, play and retrieve! He knows he needs to shed some pounds, and he is already on his way to becoming his svelte self soon! Bandit is a very sweet boy, and enjoys playing with all the dogs in his foster home. He also loves all the attention he is getting and seems to seek human touch. We are seeing that Bandit is so grateful for everything: our attention and love, his toys and his doggie playmates -- he loves the girls, so we think he would do very well in a forever home with another young female!
Puppyhood to a Young 4 Year Old
Bandit is an owner surrender. His family got him as a puppy, and they trained him to hunt ducks. He was well-taken care of and loved by his humans, but they became too ill to care for him. A local rescue (Oscar's Cause) cared for Bandit for over a month, but when FBR offered to re-home him, they accepted our help. We have Bandit's AKC papers and full vet history, and we know that he was always on heart worm prevention. We are so happy to have this sweet boy in our care now and know that he will make a great companion for the right forever family.
Stay Tuned for More Photos
You will see a great transformation, and we're betting Bandit's energy level will also improve! Bandit is already a muscular boy, and once he loses the excess weight (he is 44lbs now, but should be 40lbs.), he is going to look even more spectacular. His coat will also vastly improve with better nutrition and care we are providing. Visit back often for more photos to come!
