Chief just arrived into our rescue and so far, we really like what we see. He has such a big personality, and he so wants to make everyone happy, and tries his best to make that happen. He loves tennis balls and squeaky toys. He plays with them and then destroys them, as his jaws are still developing! Although he hasn't shown any interest in shoes or things that don't come out of the toy basket, he needs to be under a watchful eye when he's around speaker wires because if they get tangled up in a toy he is chewing on...look out...phone call over!
Mr. Cuddles Inside and Mr. Olympian OutsideInside: After a lot of exercise, Chief settles down beautifully and loves TV and cuddle time next to you on the couch. Outside: Chief is a dream of grace and athleticism--watching him run is just beautiful. He has a keen nose, and he loves chasing all the wildlife. He is also an accomplished swimmer and retrieves on land and water, and he will "drop" on command. He is always ready for a good game of fetching. Chief has great endurance and is a natural athlete. He must have a full fenced in yard.
Chief's HistoryChief was surrendered to FBR by a family who felt Chief needed more exercise and land to run. They also felt he deserved a home with less alone time as they had to crate him 8+ hours while they were at work. Chief was loved and cared about during his time with this family.
Ideal Forever FamilyWe are looking for an active person or family who has the time commitment for Chief. He needs to be given a chance to be the great adult dog we know he can be. Doggy Day care and regular trips to dog parks would be exactly what Chief needs. He needs room to run and show off his endurance, off-leash, in his own fenced-in yard or dog park, and he will not disappoint! Watching him run and burn off that famous Brittany energy is a sight to behold. Have a little peek at this gorgeous Brittany boy!
