Smart and Sassy Elegant Molly
Molly is a petite and lean girl, weighing all of 28 lbs. She is smart and loving and obedient. Molly is a gorgeous Brittany with an elegant way about her, and she has an inquisitive alertness. We have seen a bit of a sassy and stubborn side to her as well -- she is insisting on wet food being mixed in with her kibble -- now that she's had a taste of the good stuff! ;-) She also likes to sleep in the same room as her people, either on her dog bed or crate.
Athletic and Energetic Brittany Girl
Don't let Molly's petite size and elegant features fool you: she is not a shy, retiring lap dog. Though an affectionate and loving girl who loves cuddling, she is all Brittany speed and stamina, too. She loves retrieving tennis balls. She has a strong prey drive, loves to hunt squirrels, birds, and lizards and loves to run. She is a beautiful Brittany to watch as she runs off leash at the dog park or your own secure, physical fenced-in yard. Like most Brittanys she gets excited on walks and pulls when she sees a squirrel or bird, so she needs a gaylord collar or easy-walk harness. She goes in the crate on command & waits nicely for collar/leash to be put on.
Ideal Forever Family
Molly would fit in perfectly with an active family. She is currently in a foster home with an older Springer who finds her to be a little too high-energy, and a cat that she shows too much interest in, so please apply if you have younger dogs in your home and NO cats. She would be happier in a home with another canine. She lived with 4 other dogs in her last home (2 of which were Brittanys, Birdie and Kingston) and wouldn't want to be an "only".
Let's Put Her Past Life Far Behind Her
Molly (along with Birdie and Kingston) was an owner surrender. The following is from the organization that pulled her from the kill shelter: "We were contacted by the local municipal shelter about an elderly man who turned in 5 dogs. The only reason given was that he was too old to hunt so he didn't need them anymore. We tagged all of them and pulled them the next day. They were extremely shy and fearful when we first got them, but they began coming around fairly quickly. They all lucked out when we were able to place them all with breed-specific rescues."
