Smart, Playful and Built for Speed
Santos is a beautiful, trim and athletic 34lbs Brittany pup. He is a smart boy who comes to his name and sits for all his treats. He is agile and fast, and he took to swimming at FBR headquarters. He loves playing with all dogs, big and small. We believe he would do well in a home with another dog who is similar in age and breed, as he really wants to play, play, and play some more! A Physical fenced in yard is a Must. Another young playful dog is a must in the forever home. Santos has minor separation anxiety but is fine with 4 hour sessions of crate time during the day and at night likes the security of his crate and is quiet through the night. He loves soft Classical Music!
Eager to learn -Treat Motivated-Loves to Play
After one month in the rescue, we decided to move Santos to a quieter foster home to polish his skills. It took a week to adjust to the change but he is really responding to all the positive reinforcement training and gaining his confidence with the two older and bigger Brittanys in the home. Even though he is smaller he hold his own playing with his fur-buddies. His favorite game is keep away. After that it's riding in cars!
Exercise-Discipline and Love
A successful home for Santos will be one that is dedicated to keeping him both physically and mentally exercised. Santos is sensitive so strong training methods will not work on him. He has so much love to give and does enjoy the human touch and will snuggle with you when you invite him to do so. Santos would make the perfect office buddy.
I have a Passport
At what age was Santos cast into the streets of Seville ,Spain we will never know. Luckily, he was rescued by a dedicated group of volunteers in Spain, working for Sporting Dog Rescue International (SDRI). After over 3 months in their care he got his passport and took a long plane ride to the USA. Upon arrival FBR welcomed Santos into our rescue and drove him his last leg to Florida. Now, we only want to see him adopt into the very best home and a chance at the good life here in the USA! If you think you are that home please apply.
