Lady arrived a few weeks ago and we are hearing she is a great house dog. Crate Trained and house Trained. Sleeps in a crate in the bedroom of her foster home.
She loves swimming and running and boy is she fast! She definitely would do well in a home with another dog close to her age and activity level.
From her foster mom: It took her about a week to “settle in” – i.e. get used to our routine & not be so skittish. She is quick & always ready for any type of action. She loves being outside – inside, left to her own devices her favorite thing is de-stuffing soft toys. The only time she will chew on undesirable things (i.e. coffee table corner, newspaper) is if I ignore her wanting to play.
Lady sleeps in the crate next to my bed happily for 7 ½ - 8 ½ hours – I get a treat, say go to bed & she goes straight in the crate & settles down. In the evenings, she will settle on the couch, cuddling up to Chloe ( the resident Brittany) & the cat.
No food / treat / toy aggression. She hogs the soft toys & whatever Chloe has she takes (they each have their own Lamb Chops but Lady considers them all hers). So, high energy, wants to be center of attention, will work for treats / games / loving attention !
Lady was an owner surrender to our rescue. She had too much alone time and her family wanted her to have a home that could give her the time and attention she deserved.
We were happy we could help! Don't wait to get your application in on this one!
