FBR0333 CANE ADOPTION PENDING

Cane arrived last week and is thriving in his foster home. He walks great on leash, crate trained and house trained. He knows how to entertain himself with toys and dog chews. He loves car rides and just being with his people. He is a great retriever and loves riding on golf carts and off road vehicles.

It is obvious that Cane was loved and trained. When he arrived he had scratching sores, there were no visible fleas so we believe he has allergies. He takes 8 mg Apoquel 2 x a day and now all his bald patches are healing and the hair is growing back. He is eating good food, taking vitamins and supplements, and is now totally relaxed about his life. Cane is ok with alone time crated, and is really a dog that can entertain himself. He is a loyal walking dog and a snuggle buddy on the couch. At night he sleeps soundly in a crate located in his foster parents bedroom. Never any destructive behavior with his kennel mat and plush blanket. He of course would rather in be in bed with his people!

Cane was surrendered by family to the shelter after his owner passed away. He was frightened and confused and the shelter asked Florida Brittany Rescue for help. He flew down to FBRHQ and has never looked back, just happy to be alive!
