Swagger the Handsome One!
Meet Swagger, he arrived in our rescue with his kennel buddy Sadie. He has a gentle personality and in any pack would be a follower. He did get into trouble in his previous home pushing under the field fence and visiting the neighbors chickens so he needs a secure physical fence. He loves to run, swim and go on sniffing walks. He walks very well wearing a martingale collar. He loves the routine in his foster home and is totally kennel trained, meaning never had an accident. He loves sleeping on an elevated bed, over a crate. Grooming him is a breeze, and he is just so good looking.
What type of home is best for Swagger
Swagger has always had Sadie in his life since he was 8 weeks old. They were never a successful breeding pair just good companions. A home with another nice dog would be best and we are keeping our fingers crossed that an adopter for both him and Sadie wil come along. He will be moving into a foster home next week to recover from heartworm treatment.
Let's put his past behind him!
In his early years Swagger was given a lot of attention, and then his young owner moved onto sports and girls and didn't have time to care for Swagger. Boredom isn't good for Brittanys so eventually, he and Sadie learned to push under the fence and would go exploring. Florida Brittany Rescue was contacted and we agreed to take Swagger and Sadie into our rescue. Both Swagger and Sadie tested positive for heartworms and will go through heartworm treatment together. This pair just want to have attention and be loved, he will fit into any active home with the right set up to keep her safe. If we have to separate them we will.
